The Steinway Restoration
Lebanese television inside the atelier in Byblos, on a Steinway grand rebuilt with original parts imported from France — work for which Steinway & Sons sent a letter of congratulation.
The house
Basbous & Sons has sold, tuned and restored pianos in Byblos since 1995. Pierre Basbous is the only French-certified piano restorer in Lebanon, and every rebuild is carried out in our own atelier. Nothing is subcontracted.
The floor holds grands, uprights and rare original art cases — instruments chosen for what they are rather than what they cost. Every piano we sell or service is entered in The Piano Registry, a permanent record of the instrument, its serial and its service history. It is free, and open to any piano in Lebanon.
We also tune, regulate and deliver anywhere in the country, and rent concert instruments for performances and weddings. The longer version is in our story.
The houses we carry
Three houses, chosen in 1995 and unchanged since. Restoration is carried out in our own atelier in Byblos.
